Navigating IntuitivePM

IntuitivePM is organized around a sidebar-driven layout that gives you quick access to every part of your workspace. This guide covers the main interface areas and keyboard shortcuts to help you move around efficiently.

The sidebar is your primary navigation tool. It is always visible on the left side of the screen and is organized into the following sections:

  • Projects — Lists all projects you have access to. Click a project name to open it. Use the + New Project button at the top to create a new project.
  • Tasks — A unified view of all tasks assigned to you across every project, so you can see your personal workload at a glance.
  • Epics — Browse and manage epics across your projects. Useful for tracking larger initiatives that span multiple sprints.
  • Sprints — View active and upcoming sprints for the currently selected project.
  • Dashboards — Access project dashboards with configurable widgets for tracking progress and team performance.
  • Reports — Generate and view reports on sprint velocity, team workload, and project health metrics.

At the bottom of the sidebar, you will find links to Settings and your Profile. The company switcher in the top-left corner lets you move between different company workspaces if you belong to more than one.

Collapsing the Sidebar

On smaller screens or when you need more room, click the collapse icon at the top of the sidebar to minimize it to icon-only mode. Click again to expand it back.

Main Content Area

The main content area occupies the center and right side of the screen. What you see here depends on your current context:

  • Project Board — When you open a project, you see the Kanban board by default. Switch to list view using the view toggle in the top-right corner of the board.
  • Task Detail — Click any task to open a detail panel on the right side of the board, or click the expand icon to open the task in a full-page view. The detail panel shows the task description, comments, activity log, and all metadata fields.
  • Sprint View — Shows tasks grouped by sprint with progress indicators and story point totals.
  • Dashboard — Displays configurable widgets such as burndown charts, sprint progress bars, and team workload summaries.

Top Bar

The top bar spans the full width of the screen above the main content area. It includes:

  • Breadcrumb Navigation — Shows your current location in the hierarchy (for example, Acme Corp > Mobile App > Sprint 1). Click any breadcrumb segment to jump to that level.
  • Search — Click the search icon or press Ctrl+K to open the global search dialog. Search finds projects, tasks, epics, and team members across your entire workspace.
  • Notifications — The bell icon shows unread notifications such as task assignments, mentions, and sprint updates.
  • Profile Menu — Your avatar in the top-right corner opens a dropdown with links to your profile, account settings, and sign out.

Breadcrumbs appear in the top bar and provide context about where you are. They follow a consistent hierarchy:

Company > Project > Section > Item

For example, navigating into a task within a sprint might show:

Acme Corp > Mobile App > Sprint 1 > Design login screen

Each segment is clickable, making it easy to jump back to any parent level without using the browser back button.

Keyboard Shortcuts

IntuitivePM supports keyboard shortcuts for common actions. Press Ctrl+/ at any time to view the full list. Here are the most useful shortcuts:

ShortcutAction
Ctrl+KOpen global search
Ctrl+NCreate a new task
Ctrl+/Show keyboard shortcuts
G then PGo to Projects
G then DGo to Dashboard
G then SGo to Sprints
G then TGo to Tasks
EscClose current dialog or panel

Sequential shortcuts like G then P work by pressing G first, releasing it, and then pressing the second key within one second.

These shortcuts work from anywhere in the application. Combined with the global search (Ctrl+K), they let you navigate to any project, task, or section without touching the mouse.
